Judy and her husband, Tom, reside in Yorkville, Illinois. They are the parents of three sons and have two grandchildren. Judy is a retired educator and divides her time between family, gardening, art, and community involvement. Judy illustrated the second Quilt-Stories book entitled, "Gramma, Please Tell Us More Stories!". The book meant that more people could learn how that method of quilt construction could make their quilting life easier, without having to be there to show them. Which is hopefully what a lot of quilt books do! But in reality the book started years before I even taught those classes.

For the large border I decided on a design I found in the book Free-Motion Quilting with Angela Walters. I used a variation of the design called Atomic Squares.
